” By the Skin of One’s Teeth “
by Suzán Jiván Mom
& Mom-Mom Suzán
By the skin of one’s teeth
save one’s skin
a skeleton in the cupboard
the skull and crossbones
cut (someone) down to size
try that on for size!
skin-deep a skinflint
thick-skinned thin-skinned
the sky’s the limit
like pie in the sky
not in the slightest
while on the sly
a slip of the tongue
small wonder
soft-pedal a soft touch
no sooner said than done ...
