Catch me if you can as if by magic
tipping the scales overbearingly ironclad
undetected then flimflammed
by hidden cameras raising red flags
while oscillating to jazz all through a gin glass
being convincingly mastered
singly and repeatedly clasping hands
together as if in prayer palms hot and damp
like re-enacting nightmares
becoming detached determined to be “Old Hat”
forming formidable challenges
in a crackdown on the impaired
hailed as an anthema to ectoplasm
jumping into a cab running the gambit
of the way too fantastic as utterly affable
both floating in mid air calling, “Contact!”
upon taking evasive action seen back-to-back
feeling totally unembarrassed
by each-and-every account
accepting the peculiarities of endless gatherings
leaving no time for leisure or distraction
prayers having been answered ...
