cool breezes
hushed

blown
by apparitional committees
deemed to be
“mediumistic activity”
and coldly scientific
with admitted validity
while assuming respectability
by brushing against cold cheeks
and spinning spectral moonbeams
featuring floating tambourines
spirit hands slate messages
and phosphorescent forms
moving without apparent cause
phantom tagalongs
not knowing what is happening
sounding like chains dragging ...
